There should be an evidence of adequate contact to the chemical specified.
The time period amid exposure and visual effect, should fit in the pathophysiology of the disease
Either an injury or illnesswhich is work-related
A medical condition that outcomes from contact with a physical, biological and chemical agent in a workplace to the amount that the health of the worker is compromised (World Health Organization, 2017).
2. Most common occupational disorders in developed countries are:
Occupational Asthma
Carpal tunnel disease
Occupational dermatitis
Silicosis and tuberculosis in Miners
Medial epicondylitis disorder
Occupational Musculoskeletal disorder
Lateral epicondylitis disorder (Bepko & Mansalis, 2016)
3. Occupational toxins affecting the Central nervous system (referred as CNS) contain CNS sedatives, like anesthetic gases, organic solvents, and heavy metals.
Some important examples are:
Gases: Carbon monoxide (CO) and Carbon disulphide (CS2)
chlorinated hydrocarbons:
Trichloroethylene
Perchloroethylene
1,1,1-trichloroethane
Dichloromethane
Methylene chloride (Monat-Descamps & Deschamps, 2012)
Organic phosphorous and Organic leadcompounds
Metals: Mercury, Manganese and their compounds, and lead
Non-halogenated aromatic organic composites: toluene and styrene
Pesticides: dieldrin
Neurotoxic solvents:
aliphatic hydrocarbons
Ketones and alcohols
Aromatic hydrocarbons
