This course will be one long assignment with various deliverables along the way:
Week 2: Submit a proposal, having already cleared a company and plan with the instructor, on how you intend to do the main project and with what organization. Include a schedule for your deliverables and research/writing.
1. Describe in some detail the access you have to the organization in terms of information and personnel.
2. Describe in some detail who the main stakeholders are, internally and externally.
3. In a paragraph or two, tell me what you learned about communications plans after completing research online.
Week 5: Review the communications audits noted in the course. Complete your own audit of the organization. You will note these instructions lack details on page count, references etc. This is a capstone course so you will need to determine for yourself, what the appropriate length/detail of the assignments should be based on examples shown in class. Feel free to ask if you have questions.
Week 7: Complete an Internal Communications Recommendations Report, following standard guidelines and best practices
Week 9: Complete an External Communications Recommendations Report, following standard guidelines and best practices
Week 11: Compile an overall communications report incorporating all the key points discussed thus far and prepare a 20-30 minute (~10-15 slide) PowerPoint Presentation. This submission should include significant revisions based on instructor feedback to previous assignments.
