This is the first of three assignments which, as a whole, will cover all aspects of the project life cycle relevant to your selected project.You have been selected to be the Project Manager (for a project of your choice ( Grand Opening event of a remodeled mall ) ). The project that you decide to use should meet the key criteria of a project, such as
(a) having a beginning and an end;
(b) results in something being delivered to someone;
(c) requires a series of activities that must be done to complete the project; and
(d) requires resources (e.g., people, materials) to complete the work.

Project goal
The goal of the project is to organize a grand event for the opening of a remodeled mall. At the early stage of ideation of the shopping mall concept some major factors were missing. Thus, with the changing time it becomes important for the project manager to incorporate some technical, operational and functional changes in the mall.
In order to promote the shopping stores, food court and cinema hall in the shopping mall the project manager has ideate to organize a grand opening ceremony.
The grand opening ceremony will make the consumers familiar to the system and service operation activated by the mall community. The goal of the project is to focus on the details event and all its instances.
2. Project objectives
The objectives for this project are as follows:
To organize a grand opening event for the remodeled mall to attract the consumers
To let the consumers know about the security brief and public liability insurance
To promoting all the new stores
3. Structure of the project
In order to structure the event management program following are the important factors must be considered and maintained:
Key project objectives and their measures
Project planning and budget
Traffic management and security management
Contract details with the suppliers and all entertainers
Promotional events and marketing
Public liability insurance and risk management
In order to manage this project the above mentioned factors are needed to be individually analyzed and managed. In other words project initiation, planning, execution, control and closure are the phases will be followed to meet the success factors.
4. Key consumers of the project
The key consumers for this project are owners of the stores, food court owners and owners of the cinema hall. The service of the mall should be structured in such a way so that it can attract the consumers more than the other competing shopping malls.
